In honor of black history month, here is our list of the best African American/Black boxers in the sport right now. However, before we move on to the actual list, here are some honorable mentions.

Top 10 Best Black Boxers 2024 Rankings
10. Richardson Hitchins
Starting off the Best Black Boxers list we have Richardson Hitchins, A young African American boxer with an undefeated record of 17 wins and no losses.
He is the current WBC Silver Super Lightweight world champion and holds the IBF North American title as well. He is coming off an impressive win against Jose Zepeda and is a fighter you should keep an eye on in 2024.
9. Lamont Roach Jr.

Next on our list, we have the newly minted WBA super featherweight world champion Lamont Roach Jr.
He has a professional record of 24 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw, and has held multiple regional titles as well, including the WBO International super featherweight title, which he defended twice. Lamont Roach Jr is currently ranked at #4 by The Ring in the Super Featherweight division.
8. O’Shaquie Foster

- WBC Super Featherweight World Champion
O’Shaquie Foster makes it on our list at number 8. With an impressive record of 21-2, He is the current WBC super featherweight world champion and has held multiple regional titles as well.
He won the title after defeating Rey Vargas and has since defended it once against Eduardo Hernandez.
7. Stephen Fulton
You can’t complete the list of the best Black Boxers without talking about Stephen Fulton. With a record of 21 wins and only 1 loss, he is the former unified WBC and WBO super bantamweight world champion.
Before that, he also held the IBO super bantamweight title, along with multiple regional titles. Fulton is ranked #1 at Super Bantamweight by The Ring, TBRB, and Boxrec.
In his most recent fight, he challenged Naoya Inoue with the undisputed super bantamweight title on the line, but could not win. Still, he is among the best active boxers in the world right now.
6. Errol Spence Jr.
Errol Spence Jr is one of the best active Black Boxers in the world right now. He has an excellent boxing record of 28 wins and 1 loss and is the former unified WBA (super), WBC, and IBF welterweight world champion.
In his most recent fight, he even challenged Terrence Crawford with the undisputed welterweight title on the line but lost the fight. Still, he is among the best active boxers right now and should have some big opportunities ahead of him.
5. Jermell Charlo

- WBC Super Welterweight World Champion
- The Ring Super Welterweight World Champion
At number 5, we have Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo. With an impressive record of 35 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw, he is one of the best African American boxers in the sport right now.
He is the current unified WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, and The Ring light middleweight world champion, and previously held the undisputed title in the same division as well.
However, he was stripped of the WBO title when he chose to move up in weight and face Canelo Alvarez for the Undisputed title at super middleweight. Though he lost to Canelo, he is still among the top tier of boxers in the sport.
4. Shakur Stevenson

Next up, we have Shakur Stevenson, an incredible young talent in the sport of boxing. With an undefeated record of 21-0, he is the current WBC Lightweight world champion.
He has also previously held the unified WBC, WBO, and The Ring titles at super featherweight, and the WBO title at featherweight, which makes him a three-division world champion. With the lightweight division open, and the two vacant titles up for grabs, we can expect some big fights from Stevenson.
3. Gervonta Davis

- WBA Lightweight World Champion
At number 3, we have Abdul Wahid, better known by his old name Gervonta “Tank” Davis. Tank has held world titles in three different weight classes, he recently held the WBA (Regular) lightweight world title and defended it 4 times.
He also held the same title at super lightweight, and the WBA (Super) and IBF titles at super featherweight. With an undefeated record of 29-0, he is one of the best African-American boxers in the game right now and has some big fights ahead of him.
2. Devin Haney

- WBC Super Lightweight World Champion
Devin Haney is one of the most incredible African American boxers right now. With an undefeated record of 31-0, Haney currently holds the WBC super lightweight world title.
He is also the former Undisputed Lightweight world champion, a title which he defended twice before moving up in weight. At the young age of 25, he is only getting started, and we can expect him to make some big moves in the near future.

- WBO Welterweight World Champion
- The Ring Welterweight World Champion
On the top of our Best Black Boxers list, we have none other than Terence “Bud” Crawford. With an impressive undefeated record of 40-0, Crawford holds the unified WBA (Super), WBC, and WBO Welterweight world titles.
He has held world titles in three different weight classes and has reigned as the undisputed champion in two of them.
He is also the number one pound-for-pound boxer in the world right now and has to be on top of anyone’s list when it comes to the best of the best.
