NFL Rookies to Watch 2024

The start of NFL careers begins the 2024 NFL Draft class as the opening kickoff of the 2024 NFL season has arrived. As you start to look at the 2024 NFL Draft class, the list of talented rookies is long led by talented quarterback Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears who headlines the Top 10 Best NFL Rookies 2024 Rankings Predictions list entering the season. Williams, who put together a brilliant collegiate career will now look to take the next step forward while becoming the next wave of elite quarterbacks in the NFL.

As the Bears rookie quarterback headlines the elite group of rookies entering the National Football League in 2024, he is just one of an extensive list of rookies who will make a run at the top rookie honor while taking home the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Joining Williams among the best rookies entering the NFL includes Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr, New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers, and the Minnesota Vikings edge defender Dallas Turner.

Here is a look at the Top 10 NFL Rookies 2024 Rankings Predictions:

Honorable Mention

Drake Maye

Team: New England Patriots

Position: Quarterback

Just missing the Top 10 NFL Rookies 2024 Rankings Predictions list is the New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. Maye enters the NFL as one of the top overall quarterbacks within the draft, however starting the season as the team’s backup may limit his overall production and success.

Nonetheless it is hard to look past the upside the former North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback brings to a Patriots team looking to rebuild for the future.

In each of his two full seasons as the Tar Heels starter, Maye showcased solid accuracy completing 63.3 and 66.2 percent of his passes while also throwing for at least 3,600 yards in each season. In the end Patriots fans can expect at some point to see Mayes during the 2024 NFL season.

Terrion Arnold

Team: Detroit Lions

Position: Cornerback

When you start to look at the evolution of the NFL offense, the need for talented cornerbacks and secondary help is atop any NFL wishlist entering the NFL Draft. One of those talented stars entering the 2024 NFL season is Terrion Arnold of the Detroit Lions who ranked among the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide star brings solid size at six feet to the Lions secondary while also delivering both speed and agility at the position as well as a high football IQ that translates to a potential big-time career in the National Football League.

Arnold is coming off his best season for the Crimson Tide posting a career high five interceptions to go along with 6.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and 63 total tackles.

Top 10 Best NFL Rookies

10. Rome Odunze

Team: Chicago Bears

Position: Wide Receiver

Sliding in at number 10 on the Top 10 NFL Rookies 2024 Rankings Predictions list is the Chicago Bears second first round selection Rome Odunze.

Entering his rookie season with the Bears expectations are high for the former Washington Huskies wide receiver with hopes of a longtime matchup with top overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft Caleb Williams.

Odunze is a big strong physical receiver who has strong hands and the physical tools to be a go to receiver for Williams alongside teammate DJ Moore on the opposite side of the field.

The former Huskies wide receiver topped the 1,000-yard mark in back-to-back seasons while averaging 17.8 per catch last season to go along with 13 touchdowns.

9. Jonathan Brooks

Team: Carolina Panthers

Position: Running Back

One NFL rookie sleeper who could emerge as a prime-time threat over the course of his rookie season is Jonathan Brooks of the Carolina Panthers. As we saw last season with Brooks former teammate Bijan Robinson, rookie running backs can jump on the scene and take a big role in their first season.

In his first full season as the main ball carrier last season for the Texas Longhorns, Brooks showcased potential as a dual threat running back who can also be a role player in the passing attack.

The former Longhorns star has great breakaway speed and solid hands. Brooks averaged 6.1 yards per carry for 1,139 yards last season to go with 10 touchdown runs while also adding 11.4 yards per reception.

8. Xavier Worthy

Team: Kansas City Chiefs

Position: Wide Receiver

The speedy crafty wide receiver enters the league while making a big-time splash for the Kansas City Chiefs to open up the season. Even before his fast start to his NFL career that included two touchdowns to open the season, Xavier Worthy was among the best rookies in the NFL while landing within the Top 10 rookies this season.

Playing alongside the top NFL passer in Patrick Mahomes expectations are big for Worthy who broke the NFL Combine record with a 4.21 40-yard dash.

Worthy, who posted 1,014 yards last season on 75 catches brings a deep threat element to the Chiefs passing attack while also delivering them a weapon who could be used in the team’s rushing attack.

7. Bo Nix

Team: Denver Broncos

Position: Quarterback

While Bo Nix entered the NFL draft and training camp often get overlooked by fellow top quarterbacks Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and Caleb Williams, the Denver Broncos rookie quarterback has not let that slow him down while taking the starting quarterback position.

Nix who had a strong collegiate career has a ton of leadership qualities in his all-around game while also continuing to improve his overall passing numbers including increasing his completion percentage mark to 77.4 last season while throwing for a career high 45 touchdowns to just three interceptions.

In addition, Nix has a solid group of weapons to include Javonte Williams at the running back position along with Marvin Mims Jr, Courtland Sutton, and Josh Reynolds at the wide receiver position.

6. Brock Bowers

Team: Las Vegas Raiders

Position: Tight End

Entering the 2024 NFL Draft the former Georgia Bulldogs tight end ranked among the best at the position while helping to lead the Bulldogs to multiple National Championships.

While question marks surround the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback position, the same question marks don’t surround the team’s receiving weapon group one led by former NFL All-Pro Davante Adams. Bowers should slide in nice to the tight end position while emerging as one of the top young receiving threats on the Raiders roster.

In three seasons with the Bulldogs Bowers posted at least 56 catches in each of the three seasons while also racking up 26 total touchdowns over that stretch. With the tight end position being an important weapon in passing attacks expect Bowers to be a big time threat all season.

5. Dallas Turner

Team: Minnesota Vikings

Position: Linebacker

Rounding out the Top 5 on the Top 10 NFL Rookies 2024 Rankings Predictions list is the Minnesota Vikings edge rusher Dallas Turner.

While the list of talented rookies is endless, Turner is one of those players who has the potential to take home the 2024 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide star brings great quickness and elusiveness off the jump to make offensive blockers miss while also bringing great athleticism to get to the quarterback. In addition, Turner brings great size to the Vikings roster including a 34 ⅜ arm span to go along with his six-foot three-inch frame.

4. Malik Nabers

Team: New York Giants

Position: Wide Receiver

Leading into the 2024 NFL Draft the wide receiver group featured three-star wide receivers all bringing great talent to the position. One of those three wide receivers is the New York Giants first round pick Malik Nabers while the other two include Rome Odunze and Marvin Harrison Jr who are also both expected to have big first seasons in the league.

Nabers, who slots in at six feet, has great speed and breakaway speed to separate from defenders while also showcasing strong hands and great jumping ability to get up for the football.

The former LSU Tigers wide receiver has posted 72 and 89 receptions over the previous two NFL seasons while also topping the 1,000-yard mark in both seasons. In addition, as we have seen over the years the Tigers continue to produce highly talented receivers that put up big numbers at the NFL level.

3. Jayden Daniels

Team: Washington Commanders

Position: Quarterback

All eyes will be on Jayden Daniels when the 2024 NFL schedule kicks off while some experts and fans have him as a favorite to take home the 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

Daniels slides into a new directional Washington Commanders offense that is now led by offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Kingsbury is an offensive guru that has found a way to get the most out of his quarterbacks over the seasons.

Daniels joins a Commander’s roster that features dynamic wide receiver Terry McLaurin as well as dual threat running back Austin Ekeler and tight end Zach Ertz.

Adding in Daniels speed and ability to make plays with his feet opens up the potential for the first-year quarterback to throw for over 3,000 yards and rush for over 500 yards.

2. Marvin Harrison Jr.

Team: Arizona Cardinals

Position: Wide Receiver

While the off-season has had some negative headlines surrounding Marvin Harrison Jr off the field including a lawsuit with Fanatics, his on the field potential and talent outweighs all of that while bringing a dynamic playmaking threat to the Arizona Cardinals offense.

Harrison Jr delivers Kyler Murray a potential number one receiver who can not only make big time plays but also be the key go to receiver on plays needing to pick up a first down while moving the chains.

While the former Ohio State Buckeyes star has huge shoes to fill at the position while making his own mark to separate his game from his Hall of Fame dad’s reputation, Harrison Jr has all the tangibles with size and speed to build his own stellar NFL career resume.

In addition, the new Cardinals wide receiver has been a touchdown weapon posting 14 touchdowns in each of the previous two seasons.

1. Caleb Williams

Team: Chicago Bears

Position: Quarterback

In at number one on the Top 10 NFL Rookies 2024 Rankings Predictions is the Chicago Bears first overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft Caleb Williams. Williams did it all in college while taking home the Heisman Trophy and ranking among the best players at the quarterback position over the past two collegiate seasons.

Williams brings a strong arm and dynamic football IQ to the Bears team while also understanding how and when to make plays with his feet to help move the football down the field.

Entering his rookie season Williams will look to translate his strong passing numbers to the next level including throwing fewer than five interceptions in the three previous seasons at college while also completing at least 64.5 percent of his passes.

In addition, Williams has thrown for 30 and 42 touchdowns over the last two seasons while adding 10 and 11 rushing touchdowns in those two seasons. Williams with Rome Odunze and D.J. Moore brings hype to a Bears team that has struggled in recent times.
