Top 10 Best Female Boxers 2023 Rankings

10. Ellie Scotney

Title(s):

  • IBF Super Bantamweight World Champion

Starting the list, we have the newly minted IBF World Super Bantamweight world champion, Ellie Scotney. The young Australian boxer won her first world title this year, after securing multiple regional titles last year.

She won the IBF title after defeating Cherneka Johnson in June and successfully defended her title against Laura Soledad Griffa in September.

So, 2023 has without a doubt been the biggest year of the young boxer’s career and earns her a spot on our list.

9. Natasha Jonas

Title(s):

  • The Ring Super Welterweight World Champion
  • IBF Welterweight World Champion

Though Jonas only fought once this year, it was a big fight with high stakes. She moved down in weight to fight for the vacant IBF female welterweight title.

She defeated Kandi Wyatt with an impressive TKO and became a two-division world champion.

Jones also has a fight scheduled for next month and will be defending her new title against former Unified super-featherweight world champion Mikaela Mayer

8. Yesica Nery Plata

Title(s):

  • WBA Junior Flyweight World Champion
  • WBC Junior Flyweight World Champion

At number 8, we have the current unified WBA and WBC Light flyweight world champion, Yesica Nery Plata. The Mexican boxer has had an incredible year, becoming a unified champion, and defending her titles as well.

In January, she defeated Kim Clavel to conquer the WBC title, and earlier in December, she defended both her titles in a competitive fight against Sarah Bormann, winning via Split Decision.

7. Mikaela Mayer

Title(s):

  • WBC Lightweight Interim Champion

2023 has been a big year for the former Unified super-Featherweight world champion. She moved up to lightweight where she started the year by winning the WBC Interim World Lightweight title in April.
