Super Featherweight Boxing Rankings Update

After two back-to-back title defenses, O’Shaquie Foster moved up to number 2 on the Super Featherweight Boxers Rankings list, with Navarrete still holding the number 1 spot. Here are our updated Super Featherweight boxing rankings, but first, let’s look at some honorable mentions.

Honorable Mention

Before we get on to the Super Featherweight Boxing Rankings, here are some fighters who couldn’t make it on the list, but deserve an honorable mention.

Zelfa Barrett

Zelfa Barrett is a professional boxer from the United Kingdom with a record of 30 wins and 2 losses. Barrett deserves an honorable mention on our Super Featherweight Boxers Rankings. His next fight is scheduled on November 13th against Jordan Gill.

Eduardo Ramirez

Eduardo Ramirez is a professional boxer from Mexico with a record of 28 wins and 3 losses. He defeated to Sebastian Diaz Maldonado by TKO in his last fight which is deserving of an honorable mention on the Super Featherweight boxers list.

Roger Gutierrez

Roger Gutierrez is a young Venezuelan boxer who has an impressive record of 27 wins and only 6 losses with 1 draw. 

He is the Former WBA super-featherweight champion of the world and won the title after defeating René Alvarado. He also currently holds the WBA Fedelatin super featherweight title, which he won after defeating Henry Delgado via KO

In his most recent fight, he lost to Zaur Abdullaev, and there is no official announcement about his next fight.

Kenichi Ogawa

Kenichi Ogawa is a talented fighter from Japan and has a record of 28 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw, and 1 no-contest. 

Ogawa is the Former IBF super-featherweight world champion. He won the title after defeating Azinga Fuzile. He also held the Japanese Super Featherweight title from 2014 to 2017, defending it 5 times. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Marvin Esquierdo by unanimous decision, and there is no information about his next fight.

Anthony Cacace

Title(s):

  • IBO Super Featherweight World Champion

Anthony Cacace is an Irish professional boxer, and he has a record of 21 wins with only 1 loss. 

Cacace is the current IBO super-featherweight world champion, and he has previously held the British super-featherweight title as well. In his most recent fight, he defended the IBO title for the first time against Damian Wrzesiński, winning the fight via Unanimous Decision. 

Anthony Cacace has no announcement on his next fight.

Top 10 Super Featherweight Boxers

10. Robson Conceição

Robson Conceição is a professional boxer from Brazil, and he has a record of 17 wins, 2 losses, and 1 no contest. 

He has challenged for world titles at Super featherweight twice, once for the WBC title, and once against Shakur Stevenson for the unified WBC, WBO, and The Ring super featherweight titles. As an amateur, he also won an Olympic gold medal. 

He fought against Nicolas Polanco was ruled a no contest after an accidental clash of heads. His last fight was against Emanuel Navarrete for the WBO Super featherweight title. Conceição was able to withstand 2 knockdowns and comeback to win rounds to end the fight in a draw.

9. Otar Eranosyan

Otar Eranosyan is a Georgian boxer with an undefeated record of 14 wins and 0 losses. 

He hasn’t fought for a world title yet but has held multiple regional titles, including the WBA Continental Americas super featherweight title. He also defeated Roger Gutierrez via Corner retirement in his most recent fight. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

8. Albert Bell

Albert Bell is an up-and-coming boxer from the US, and he has an undefeated professional record of 25-0. 

Bell recently won the WBO NABO Super Featherweight title and previously held the WBC Continental Americas Super Featherweight title as well.

In his most recent fight, he defeated Jayson Velez by TKO in the second round, and he will fight for the WBO NABO Super Featherweight title next against Jonathan Romero.

7. Shavkat Rakhimov

Now in our Super Featherweight Boxers – World Rankings list is Shavkat Rakhimov. Rakhimov is a professional boxer from Tajikistan, with a record of 17 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. 

He is the former IBF Super-Featherweight world champion, having previously held the IBO Super-Featherweight title as well. He won the vacant title after defeating Zelfa Barrett last year, however, he lost the title to the former champion, Joe Cordina. The fight was competitive, but the knockdown scored by Cordina in the second round got Cordina the win.

In his most recent fight, he lost to Eduardo Nunez, and his next fight is not scheduled yet.

6. Hector Luis García

Hector Luis García is a Dominican professional boxer, with an undefeated professional record of 16 wins, 2 loss, and 3 no-contests.

Garcia is the Current WBA Super Featherweight world champion. He won the world title after defeating Roger Gutiérrez. He moved up in weight to fight Gervonta Davis for the WBA lightweight title but lost the fight.

Garcia faced Lamont Roach Jr. and lost the fight by split decision losing his WBA Junior Lightweight title. A close fight but Garcia was knocked down with a left hook that hit him on the top of the head.

In his most recent fight, he lost the WBA Super-Featherweight title to Lamont Roach Jr, and his next fight has not been announced yet.

5. Oscar Valdez

Oscar Valdez is a Mexican professional boxer with a record of 31 wins and 2 losses. 

Valdez has held world titles in two different weight classes. He is the former WBO featherweight champion, and also held the unified WBC and The Ring super-featherweight titles, before losing them to Shakur Stevenson. 

In his most recent fight, he faced off against Emanuel Navarrete with the WBO Super Featherweight title on the line but came up short. As of now, there is no announcement about who Valdez would fight next.

4. Lamont Roach Jr.

  • WBA Super Featherweight World Champion

Lamont Roach is an American professional boxer, with a record of 24 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw.

Roach is the former WBO International super featherweight champion and now new WBA Junior Lightweight World Champion. He has held multiple other regional titles as well.

He defeated Angel Rodriguez via unanimous decision, and recently faced Hector Luis Garcia for the WBA Super Featherweight title. Roach defeated Garcia by split decision in a close fight.

The deciding factor came in the 12th round where Roach knocked Garcia down with a left hook. As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

3. Joe Cordina

Title(s):

  • IBF Super Featherweight World Champion

Joe Cordina is a professional boxer from Wales, and he has an undefeated professional record of 17 wins and 0 losses. 

Cordina is the current IBF Super Featherweight world champion and has held the title twice. He won the title for the first time last year but was stripped of his title when he could not make a mandatory defense against Shavkat Rakhimov because of a hand injury. 

He defeated Shavkat Rakhimov to regain his title, after a hard-fought fight, which ended in a split-decision win for Cordina, who scored a second-round knockdown and clearly did the most damage in the fight.

Recently, he defeated Edward Vazquez by majority decision retaining his IBF Super Featherweight Title. Devastating body shots and uppercuts throughout the fight help deliver the win in a close fight. He is scheduled to fight Anthony Cacace for his next fight on May 18th.

2. O’Shaquie Foster

  • WBC Super Featherweight World Champion

O’Shaquie Foster is an American professional boxer with a record of 22 wins and 2 losses.

Foster is the current WBC super-featherweight world champion. He also held the WBC silver title, which he defended three times before getting a shot at the world title. 

He defended his title against Eduardo Hernandez. The fight was very competitive for the first ten rounds, and Hernandez was up on the score cards. However, in the last round, Foster dropped Hernandez twice, and got the TKO win.

Recently, Foster made his second title defense, defeating Abraham Nova via Split decision. The fight was very competitive, however, Foster knocked Nova down in the last round, which skewed the results in his favor.

1. Emanuel Navarrete

  • WBO Super Featherweight World Champion

Emanuel Navarrete is a professional boxer from Mexico, and he has a record of 38 wins and 1 loss.

Navarrete has held world titles in 3 different weight classes. He is the current WBO Super Featherweight world champion and has also held the WBO title at featherweight and junior featherweight.

Navarrete won the WBO super Featherweight title fight against Liam Wilson. Even though he was knocked down in the fourth round, Navarette was able to come back and win the fight via knockout in the 9th round.

He defended the WBO Super Featherweight against Óscar Valdez winning the fight via Unanimous Decision after out landing Valdez for most of the fight. In his most recent fight he fought against Robson Conceição for the WBO title on the line. Navarrete was able to knockdown Conceição twice during the fight but Conceição came back and was able to force a draw.
