Schwarber finished the season leading the National League in home runs with 46 on the year while also finishing with 100 runs scored and 94 runs batted in.

Trea Turner

Team: Los Angeles Dodgers

One player that might not get enough recognition of the success of the Los Angeles Dodgers during the 2022 MLB season is the team’s starting shortstop Trea Turner.

Turner who is in his first full season with the club put together a terrific season including scoring 101 runs, batting .298, picking up 39 doubles and 21 home runs.

In addition, Turner drove in 100 runs and stole 27 bases for a Dodgers team posting the best record in baseball.

Urias was just one of many Dodgers to turn in great performances during the MLB schedule 2022. The former top prospect for the Dodgers turned in possibly his best season of his young career.

Urias posted a 17-7 overall record while yielding a 2.16 earned run average across 31 total starts. Urias is one of a handful of starters in the National League in competition for the NL Cy Young award.

9. Mike Trout

Team: Los Angeles Angels

Each year that passes seems to finish with Mike Trout in the running for the AL MVP while ranking near the top of multiple offensive categories.

The 2022 MLB season is no different as the former AL MVP and Los Angeles Angels star continues to put-up big-time numbers.

7. Austin Riley

One name that could land higher during most MLB seasons based on his performance is the Atlanta Braves star third baseman Austin Riley.

The Braves 25-year-old third baseman finished the season ranked 5th in all of baseball with 38 home runs while posting the 10th best OPS in all of baseball with a .878 mark.

6. Justin Verlander

Verlander, who missed all of last season, turned in another Cy Young caliber performance in 2022.

The Astros starter finished 2nd in all of baseball with 18 wins while leading the AL, led all starters with a 1.75 earned run average, and posted 185 strikeouts.

5. Kyle Wright

4. Paul Goldschmidt

As all eyes during the 2022 MLB schedule was on Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina of the St. Louis Cardinals as they finished their final seasons of their career, another Cardinals All-Star Paul Goldschmidt put together a run for the NL Triple Crown.

Despite coming up short of the Triple Crown, Goldschmidt finished the season ranked 3rd in MLB in batting average (.317), 8th in home runs (35), 4th in runs batted in (115), and 4th in OPS (.981). His performance helped the Cardinals lock up another NL Central division title.

3. Pete Alonso

The battle for the NL MVP award is among Pete Alonso of the New York Mets and Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals.

In the end it is hard not to like the performance Alonso put together while helping the Mets win 101 games during the regular season.

Alonso posted a .271 batting average on the year to go along with a .352 on base percentage, 40 home runs and 131 runs batted in.

The Mets star first baseman didn’t stop there as he posted five stolen bases, picked up 67 walks, scored 95 runs, and hit 27 doubles on the year.

2. Shohei Ohtani

Team: Los Angeles Angels

If it wasn’t for the season of Aaron Judge, the Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani would be the hands down AL MVP.

Nonetheless Ohtani wowed baseball fans around the world as he continues to dominate both on the mound as a pitcher and as one of the best hitters in the game of baseball.

Ohtani ranked in the top 10 in wins (15), earned run average (2.33) and strikeouts (219) as a pitcher. Meanwhile at the plate, Ohtani finished 11th in home runs (34), 19th in runs batted in (95), and 10th in slugging percentage (.519).

Team: New York Yankees

When you break the AL home run record hitting 62 home runs it is easy to see why Aaron Judge lands at number one on the Top 10 MLB Players 2022 MLB end of season rankings list.

The Yankees All-Star outfielder finished the season leading all of baseball in home runs (62) and runs batted in (131) while finishing with the 2nd best average in the American League.

Judge finished the season posting career highs in nearly every offensive category including setting a career high 1.111 OPS mark, and a .425 on base percentage mark.

His performance on the field helped the Yankees to finish with the best record in the AL with 109 wins and possibly leading them to a world series.
