The 2022-23 NBA Schedule is vastly approaching as the calendar rolls into October 2022. As the season approaches the excitement surrounding the upcoming action on the hardwood begins to increase.

While fans begin to hope for what is next for their favorite teams and players, the time has also arrived for both fantasy basketball and sports betting for the NBA season.

Leading that excitement is the expectations that are set for the best basketball players in the World including the group that lands on the Top 10 NBA Players Predictions 2022-23 Rankings list.

When you start to look at that list, the list is loaded with some of the NBA’s top players including a few of the best basketball players of their generation.

One of those stars is the former NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo who continues to play the game at an extremely high level.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic continues to develop into the young face of the NBA and one player that has the talent to post triple doubles on a nightly basis.

Joining those two NBA All-Stars is a group that includes LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, and Trae Young. Here is a look at the Top 10 NBA Players Predictions 2022-23 Rankings list:

Honorable Mention

Kyrie Irving

Team: Brooklyn Nets

NBA Stats Projections: 26.8 PPG, 7.1 APG, 5.5 RPG

After putting up a solid season during the 2021-22 NBA season in just 29 games due to his unavailability due to not having a COVID-19 vaccine, Kyrie Irving looks to help the Brooklyn Nets on a deep run this season.

Irving is a dynamic ball handler who should take the pressure off of Kevin Durant on both sides of the floor.

The former Cleveland Cavaliers star has the ball handling abilities to open up his own shot, and vision to set up his teammates. Only concern leading into the season is if the team can come together after a dramatic off-season.

Devin Booker

Team: Phoenix Suns

NBA Stats Projections: 26.5 PPG, 6.1 APG, 5.5 RPG

After a disappointing finish to what was a brilliant season for the Phoenix Suns during the 2021-22 NBA schedule, Devin Booker and company will look to continue their growth during the upcoming season.

The Suns proving shooting guard has been as consistent as any player within the NBA since the start of the 2017-18 NBA season.

Since then, Booker has averaged at least 24.9 points per game in each of the past five seasons including at least 26.6 points in three of the past four NBA seasons. Booker has also averaged at least 4.1 rebounds, and at least 4.3 assists in each of the last five seasons.

Top 10 NBA Player Predictions

10. Ja Morant

Team: Memphis Grizzlies

NBA Stats Projections:  27.7 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 7.1 APG

Coming in at number 10 on the Top 10 NBA Players Predictions 2022-23 Rankings list is the Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant. Morant who has consistently improved since being drafted during the 2019 NBA Draft put together his best season of his young career last season.

During the 2021-22 NBA schedule, Morant averaged 27.4 points per game to go along with 5.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game.

The big question entering the upcoming season is can Morant continue to develop into a face of the NBA with no other proven start on the Grizzlies roster? Nonetheless, fans can expect Morant to continue to put up big numbers in his fourth NBA season.

9. Anthony Davis

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

NBA Stats Projections: 27.1 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 2.2 APG, 2 BPG

After struggling to stay healthy the past few seasons, the Los Angeles Lakers All-Star will look to put together a strong season during the 2022-23 NBA season.

When healthy the former New Orleans Pelicans star is one of the best players in the NBA on both ends of the floor. Davis has the ability to score, rebound, block shots, and even has vision at the center position to set up his teammates.

While Davis’s stat line all revolves around the 29th year old’s health and his ability to stay on the floor. Last season Davis appeared in just 40 games while averaging 23.2 points per game to go along with 9.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

8. Jayson Tatum

Team: Boston Celtics

NBA Stats Projections: 27.9 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 4.1 APG

Major concerns have set in for the Boston Celtics after losing their head coach Ime Udoka to a season long suspension.

While questions surround how the team will move with a new head coach taking over for the upcoming season, fans shouldn’t have to worry about the type of production Jayson Tatum will turn in.

Tatum is coming off his second consecutive season averaging at least 26 points per game while improving from 26.4 in 2020-21 to 26.9 last season. Tatus also set career highs in rebounds (8) and assists per game (4.4).

7. Trae Young

Team: Atlanta Hawks

NBA Stats Projections: 28.5 PPG, 10.2 APG, 3 RPG

The 2018 NBA Draft has produced a few of the NBA’s top young scorers and all-around players on the hardwood.

Young just missed averaging a double-double last season averaging 28.4 points per game to go along with 9.7 assists per game.

Since entering the league in 2018 during the 2018 NBA Draft, Young has posted at least 25.3 points per game in three of his four seasons while averaging at least eight assists in all four NBA seasons.

Young is a terrific ball handler with great vision and his own ability to open up his own shot. Look for the Atlanta Hawks point guard to continue his production during the upcoming NBA season.

6. LeBron James

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

NBA Stats Projections: 28.6 PPG, 5.5 APG, 8 RPG

Every NBA Season fans start to expect to see a decline in the production produced by LeBron James. However, James is reluctant to let his production drop while continuing to rank near the top in multiple statistics including points per game, rebounds per game, and assists per game.

Last season the Los Angeles Lakers All-Star posted 30.3 points per game to go along with 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.

Entering the 2022-23 NBA Schedule, James has only failed to record fewer than 25 points in one season his rookie season during the 2003-04 NBA Schedule.

5. Kevin Durant

Team: Brooklyn Nets

NBA Stats Projections: 28.7 PPG,  6 APG,  7.5 RPG

Landing at number five on the Top 10 NBA Players Predictions 2022-23 Rankings list is the Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant.

All the off-season drama has cleared up but the after effects may still be around within the Nets franchise. That drama surrounded one of the games best overall players Durant who asked for a trade then rescinded the demand.

Nonetheless, Durant continues to be a big-time mismatch for opposing players with his ability to shoot from nearly any place on the floor while also being a dominant big man and a player who can attack the rim on any possession.

4. Joel Embiid

Team: Philadelphia 76ers

NBA Stats Projections: 29.0 PPG, 4.1 APG, 11.4 RPG, 1 BPG

The longtime Philadelphia 76ers star put together his possible best NBA season during the 2021-22 campaigns while nearly taking home the NBA MVP award.

Embiid finished the regular season leading all scorers while averaging 30.6 points per game to go along with 11.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

With James Harden resigned, the pressure and double teams will continue to be reduced as opposing teams have no real option to contest both stars’ ability to score.

Over the past two seasons, Embiid has posted averages of 28.5 points per game and 30.6 points per game to go along with at least 10.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. As hope surrounds Harden returning to his dynamic self, Embiid may see an uptick in assists this season.

3. Nikola Jokic

Team: Denver Nuggets

NBA Stats Projections: 28.5 PPG,  13.5 RPG,  6.5 APG

The back-to-back NBA MVP continues to be a triple double threat night in and night out while being one of the main weapons in the Denver Nuggets game plan.

However, with expectations of returns of Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr to the lineup, opposing teams will have to focus on those stars while giving Jokic additional openings to continue his production. Expect Jokic to continue to dominate the glass, while also seeing his assists per game increase.

2. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Team: Milwaukee Bucks

NBA Stats Projections: 29.1 PPG, 7.7 APG,  11.1 RPG, 1 BPG

One of the game’s top stars continues to dominate year in and year out for the Milwaukee Bucks. That player is the Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo who is coming off his second season averaging at least 29.5 points per game over the past three NBA seasons.

Since the 2016-17 NBA Season, Antetokounmpo has averaged no fewer than 26.9 points per game to go along with 10 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest.

Antetokounmpo stuffs the stat sheet while continuing to keep his name inconsideration for the NBA MVP each season.

1. Luka Doncic

Team: Dallas Mavericks

NBA Stats Projections: 29.5 PPG, 9.5 APG, 10 RPG

It’s hard to imagine Luka Doncic taking his game to another level but the Dallas Mavericks star has the ability to do just that.

As we have seen Russell Westbrook average a triple double over the course of the NBA Season, Doncic has those same attributes to complete the feat.

Doncic, who lacks additional All-Stars around him on the Mavericks roster, has vision to set up his teammates, and playmaking abilities to create scoring opportunities for himself.

Doncic should push to average nearly 30 points per game to go along with double digit assists and rebounds per game.
