10. Anton Khudobin, Dallas Stars

Khudobin has stepped up big time to replace Ben Bishop in the Stars’ line-up and has proved that he belongs among the best goalies in the league. Despite being 35-years-old and a lifelong backup, the Russian goalie has shown class as a starter with a save percentage of 90.5.

9. Semyon Varlamov, New York Islanders

Many have doubted the Islander’s decision to let Robin Lehner go in 2019 and give the starting spot to Varlamov, but the Russian goalie has proven that he was worth the risk. Varlamov has the highest save percentage among the top-10 goalies with the most wins this season with 92.9. Despite the injuries, the 33-year old is still the first choice for Barry Trotz and at the same time has been a great mentor to the young fellow Russian Ilya Sorokin.

8. Jacob Markström, Calgary Flames

Last season Markström finally reached his full potential with the Canucks earning his first All-Star selection. In the off-season, the Flames signed him to a six-year contract replacing one of the fan-favorites David Rittich as a starting goalie. Even though his save percentage has dropped comparing to last season, the 31-year old Swed has been one of the most consistent players in the Flames roster.

7. John Gibson, Anaheim Ducks

The only reason why Gibson is not higher on the list is that he plays for a bad team. The Ducks are struggling lately but Gibson has still found a way to showcase his talent. If he manages to sign with a contender he might become the best goalie in the league.

6. Robin Lehner, Vegas Golden Knights

Concussion issues have limited Lehner’s playing time this season but the 29-year old still possess the qualities that rank him among the Top-10 goalies in the league. He was one of the key players in Knight’s playoff success last year and the team can definitely count on him in long term.

5. Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens

Even though the stats are not in his favor, Price is still considered as one of the best in his job. He has huge respect among his teammates and opponents and has played a major role in the Canadiens’ success in the past decade. Price is not that player on a consistent basis anymore, but with his experience, he is still capable of getting hot and changing games for Montreal.

4. Jordan Binnington, St. Louis Blues

Binnington had a major role in the team that brought the Stanly Cup trophy for the first time in St. Louis two years ago. While some questions still linger about Binnington, he has established himself as a regular starter for the Blues’ and performed well despite shoddy defense in front of him. Being 27-years-old, he is entering the prime of his career and will definitely be one of the best in the upcoming seasons.

3. Tuukka Rask, Boston Bruins

In his 13th season in Boston, Rask is one of the biggest reasons why the Bruins are still a contender. A lot of fans were disappointed when he decided to leave the playoff bubble last season but that is an extra motivation for the Finnish goalie ahead of this year’s playoffs. Knowing that he plays his best when it counts the most, the fans’ expectations are huge.

2. Connor Hellebuyck, Winnipeg Jets

For the third consecutive season, Hellebuyck led the league in shots faced and a shot saved and is ranked fifth among the goalies with most wins this season. The Jets have a questionable defense and need to rely on Hellebuyck who is doing a tremendous job and is the main reason the Jets have a chance to do something this season.

1. Andrei Vasilevskiy, Tampa Bay Lightning

As good as the competition is, Vasilevskiy is a no-brainer for the best goalie in the league. For the fourth consecutive season, he has recorded the most wins in the league and has a 92.5 save percentage. Being only 26-year-old, with his talent and consistency, he will probably end up as one of the best goalies in the history of the game.
