10. Horacio Accavallo

Horacio Accavallo, hailing from Argentina, made a name for himself in the flyweight division, competing between 1956 and 1967. Accavallo is the former Undisputed Flyweight world champion, and he held the unified WBA and WBC flyweight titles, which he defended once.

Horacio Accavallo solidified his legacy with remarkable victories over respected fighters such as Salvatore Burruni, Hiroyuki Ebihara, and Efren Torres. He passed away last year and had a record of 75-2-6. 

9. Masao Ohba

Masao Ohba, a Japanese boxing legend, had a successful career as a flyweight boxer from 1966 to 1973. Ohba is the former WBA flyweight world champion, and he made 5 successful title defenses.

Masao Ohba’s most memorable wins in the flyweight division came against tough competitors like Bernabe Villacampo, Berkrerk Chartvanchai, and Betulio Gonzalez.

He passed away in 1973 and had a record of 35 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. He was also inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015

8. Midget Wolgast

Midget Wolgast was a renowned American boxer who competed as a flyweight from 1925 to 1940. He was the former NYSAC flyweight world champion and defended the world title 3 times.

Midget Wolgast achieved some of his most notable victories against formidable opponents such as Izzy Schwartz, Johnny McCoy, and Pinky Silverberg. He passed away in 1955 and had a record of 164 wins, 37 losses, 15 draws, and 1 no-contest. He was inducted into the IBHOF in 2001.  

7. Benny Lynch 

Benny Lynch was a Scottish professional boxer who fought between 1931 and 1938. He is a former undisputed flyweight world champion, having held the unified  NYSAC, NBA, and the Ring flyweight titles, which he also defended twice.

His most notable wins came against Jackie Brown, Small Montana, and Peter Kane. Benny Lynch passed away in 1946 and has a record of 88 wins 14 losses, and 17 draws. He was inducted into the Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1988

6. Miguel Canto

Miguel Canto is a former Mexican boxer who competed as a flyweight between 1969 and 1982. He held the unified WBC and The Ring flyweight titles and defended the titles 14 times.

Before that, he also won the  Mexico flyweight championship. Canto had several impressive wins against the likes of Betulio Gonzalez, Shoji Oguma, Antonio Avelar, Chan-Hee Park, and Gabriel Bernal. He retired with a record of 60-9-4 and inducted into the IBHOF in 1988

5. Frankie Genaro

Now starting at #5 in the Top 10 Best Flyweight Boxers of All Time Rankings is Frankie Genaro. Genaro was an American boxer, who stayed active between 1920 and 1934.

He was a two-time NBA flyweight world champion, and between his two title reigns, he made an impressive 11 title defenses. He has several notable wins, over names like Pancho Villa, Willie LaMorte, Fidel LaBarba, Newsboy Brown, Frenchy Belanger, Emile Planner, and Victor Perez.

Frankie Genaro passed away in 1966 and had a record of 98 wins 23 losses, 9 draws, and 1 no-contest. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1998 

4. Fidel LaBarba

Fidel LaBarba was an American boxer, who competed as a flyweight between 1924 and 1933. He won a gold medal in the 1924 Olympics, held in Paris, and as a professional, he won the unified NBA, NYSAC, and The Ring flyweight titles, making 2 defenses as well.

His most notable wins came against Newsboy Brown, Frankie Genaro, and Willie LaMorte. Fidel LaBarba passed away in 1981, and he had a professional record of 73 wins, 15 losses, and 7 draws. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1996 

3. Pancho Villa

Next up, we have the famous Filipino Boxer Francisco Villaruel Guilledo, more commonly known as Pancho Villa. Villa was active between 1919 and 1925 and was the first Asian boxer to win the World Flyweight championship.

He held the unified NBA, NYSAC, and The Ring flyweight titles and defended them three times. Villa sadly passed away in 1925 at only 23 years of age.

He has a professional record of 77 wins and only 4 losses with 4 draws. and inducted into the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1994.

2. Pascual Pérez

Pascual Pérez is a professional boxer from Argentina who competed in the flyweight division between 1952 and 1964. He held the unified NBA and The Ring flyweight titles, making an impressive 9 title defenses.

His most impressive wins came against Yoshio Shirai, Pone Kingpetch, and Efren Torres. Pérez retired with an impressive record of 84 wins and only 7 losses with 1 draw. He was inducted into the IBHOF in 1995.

1. Jimmy Wilde

Jimmy Wilde was a Welsh professional boxer who competed from 1911 to 1923, and he is widely regarded as the best Flyweight boxer of all time.

He won the inaugural world flyweight championship in 1916 and defended it 3 times. He also held the IBU Flyweight title and the NSC British flyweight title.

Jimmy Wilde’s most impressive wins came against Tancy Lee, Joe Symonds, Sid Smith, Young Zulu Kid, and Pancho Villa. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1990.
