Top 10 Women’s Olympic Boxers Paris 2024 Rankings

With the 2024 Summer Olympics Paris, France around the corner, we have curated a list of some of the best female boxers you should keep an eye out for this year. These fighters have already qualified to represent their respective countries in the Olympic Games, however, before we move to the Top 10 Olympic Women Boxing Rankings, here are some honorable mentions.

10. Wu Yu

Country: China

Olympic Weight Class: Flyweight
Olympic Medal Results:

Starting off the list, we have Wu Yu from China, who has already qualified for the 2024 Olympics

Wu Yu is just coming off an impressive performance in the 2023 World Championships, where she secured the gold medal. She also notably won the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou and has previously won the World Military Boxing Championships as well. 

She will be competing at flyweight and has a record of 22 wins and 4 losses

9. Li Qian

Country: China

Olympic Weight Class: Middleweight
Olympic Medal Results:

The next boxer on our list is Li Qian, who has qualified to represent China in the 2024 Olympics.

Li Qian has competed in the Olympics twice. She won Bronze in the 2016 Olympics, and more recently Silver in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She is also a former World Championship gold medalist, with a notable Bronze medal in the 2023 World Championships held in New Delhi. Li Qian won the 2022 Asian Games and has two gold medals in the Asian championships as well. 

She will represent China in the middleweight division and has an amateur record of 45 wins and 11 losses. 

8. Lin Yu-ting

Country: China

Olympic Weight Class: Featherweight
Olympic Medal Results:

Representing the Chinese Olympic team this summer, we have Lin Yu-ting, who takes the Number eight spot on our list. 

She is a two time World Championship gold medalist, winning gold in both 2018, and 2022, with a bronze medal in 2019. Lin also has two gold medals in the Asian championships, and won the 2023 Asian Games. 

She will compete in the featherweight division, and has an Amateur record of 40 wins and 13 losses. 

7. Irma Testa

Country: Italy

Olympic Weight Class: Featherweight

Hailing from Italy, Irma Testa is another name you should keep an eye out for this summer that is on her national team. 

After winning a Bronze medal in the 2020 Olympics, she is determined to get to the top this year. She has also been quite busy since 2020, winning silver in the 2022 World Championships, and a Gold medal last year. She is also a 2-time European Championship gold medalist from 2019 and 2022. 

Irma Testa will be competing in the featherweight decision, and she has an Amateur record of 150 wins and 29 losses. 

6. Nikhat Zareen

Country: India

Olympic Weight Class: Welterweight
Olympic Medal Results:

Representing India this summer, Nikhat Zareen secured her place as a formidable contender in the flyweight division. 

She is a two-time world championship gold medalist, having won in 2022, and last year as well. Zareen’s skill was also on full display at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where she clinched the gold medal. Her other notable achievements include a bronze medal at the 2019 Asian Championships held in Bangkok

Nikhat Zareen will be competing at flyweight and has a record of 45 wins and 11 losses. 

5. Beatriz Ferreira

Country: Brazil

Olympic Weight Class: Welterweight
Olympic Medal Results:

Next up we have Beatriz Ferreira, who has qualified to represent her Brazilian Olympic Boxing Team in the coming 2024 Olympics. 

She is an Olympics Silver Medalist from 2020, and has two gold medals in the world championships from 2019, and last year, with a silver medal in 2022. Ferreira also is a two-time Pan American Games gold medalist, with a notable win in the 2023 games as well. 

She will be competing in the lightweight division this summer. Her Professional record is 4-0, and as an Amateur, she has an impressive record of 101 wins with only 9 losses. 

4. Tammara Thibeault

Country: Canada

Olympic Weight Class: Welterweight
Olympic Medal Results:

Tammara Thibeault has qualified to represent Canada in the 2024 Olympics. 

In 2022, she won gold in the World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and Pan American Boxing Championships. She also won gold in the 2023 Pan American Games, which set her up to represent Canada this summer. 

She will be competing at middleweight, and has a record of 48 wins and 12 losses. 

3. Buse Naz Çakıroğlu

Country: Turkey

Olympic Weight Class: Welterweight
Olympic Medal Results:

Representing Turkey in the coming Olympics this summer, Buse Naz Çakıroğlu makes it on our list at number three. 

She competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in her division, and more recently, she won gold in the 2023 European Games. Çakıroğlu also won gold in both the World Championships, and European Championships in 2022

She will be competing in the flyweight division, and has a record of 48 wins and 8 losses. 

2. Kellie Harrington

Country: Ireland

Olympic Weight Class: Welterweight
Olympic Medal Results:

At number 2, we have Kellie Harrington, representing Ireland in the 2024 Summer Olympics. 

Most notably, Harrington is a former Olympic gold medalist from the 2020 Olympics, and she has been quite busy since. She won gold in the European Championships in 2022, and last year, she also secured a gold medal in the world championships. 

She will be competing at 60 Kgs and has a record of 95 wins and 17 losses

1. Busenaz Sürmeneli

Country: Turkey

Olympic Weight Class: Welterweight
Olympic Medal Results:

Now at #1 on the Olympic Women Boxing Rankings is Busenaz Sürmeneli. Sürmeneli is an amateur boxer who will be representing Turkey in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. 

Competing as a welterweight, she won gold in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, and since then has gone on to win gold in the 2020 World Championship and last year’s European Games. She is a two-time World Championship gold medalist, and also won gold in the 2022 Mediterranean Games

She has a record of 41 wins and 7 losses.
