Micheal Chiesa also deserves an honorable mention and has a professional MMA record of 18 wins and 6 losses. He is ranked #11 by the official UFC welterweight rankings.

Top 10 MMA Welterweights

10. Jorge Masvidal

Promotion: UFC

Jorge Masvidal is one of the Biggest UFC stars. He is an American fighter and has an extensive professional record of 35 wins and 16 losses. 

Masvidal is a two-time title challenger in the UFC but lost to Kamaru Usman both times. However, he does have some impressive wins over Michael Chiesa, Donald Cerone, Darren Till, Ben Askren, and Nate Diaz. 

He lost his most recent fight against Colby Covington at UFC 272, and there is no announcement about his next fight yet.

9. Sean Brady

Sean Brady is an American MMA fighter, with an undefeated MMA record of 15 wins and no losses. He is currently ranked #9 in the UFC welterweight rankings. 

Brady has five wins in the UFC and has most notably defeated Jake Matthews, and Micheal Chiesa in his most recent fight. Brady is an Up and coming talent in the division, however, there is no announcement about his next fight yet.

8. Yaroslav Amosov

Yaroslav Amosov is a Ukrainian MMA fighter, with a very impressive undefeated record of 26 wins and no losses. He is ranked #5 in the Bellator Pound for Pound rankings. 

He is the current Bellator Welterweight champion and defeated Douglas Lima to win the title in his most recent fight. Currently, Amosov is in Ukraine, to defend his country against the Russian Invasion, therefore, there is no announcement about his next fight.

7. Belal Muhammad

Belal Muhammad is an American MMA fighter of Palestinian Descent. He currently has a professional record of 20 wins and 3 losses and is ranked #6 by the official UFC Welterweight rankings. 

Muhammad is currently on a 6 fight winning streak, which includes wins over Demain Maia, Dhiego Lima, and in his most recent fight Stephen Thompson. He is scheduled to fight against Vicente Luque this upcoming weekend.

Vicente Luque is a Professional MMA fighter from Brazil, and he has a record of 27 wins 7 losses, and 1 draw. 

He is a talented striker and has notable wins over Tyron Woodly and Stephen Thompson. He has won 13 out of his 16 fights in the UFC and has 8 post-fight bonuses. He is currently on a 4 fight winning streak. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Micheal Chiesa via submission, and his next fight is scheduled against Belal Muhammad on April 16th, 2022.

5. Gilbert Burns

Gilbert Burns is a Professional MMA fighter from Brazil, and he has a record of 20 wins and 5 losses. 

Gilbert Burns also challenged Kumaru Usman for the title, however, he could not win. He does have impressive wins over fighters like Gunnar Nelson, Demian Maia, Stephen Thompson, and Tyrone Woodly. 

Last weekend, at UFC 273, he lost to up-and-coming fighter Khamzat Chimaev, the fight was very competitive and entertaining, however, Chimaev won on the scorecards. His next fight has not been announced yet. 

4. Khamzat Chimaev

Khamzat Chimaev is a Russian Born MMA fighter who fights out of Sweden. He has an undefeated record of 11 wins and no losses, with five fights in the UFC. 

His first 4 fights were early finishes, however, in his most recent fight, he fought against Gilbert Burns, who was the #2 welterweight contender before the fight. The fight was very entertaining, and both fighters scored knockdowns, however, Chimaev won the fight via Unanimous Decision.

3. Leon Edwards

Leon Edwards is a British Professional MMA fighter with a record of 19 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no contest. He is ranked #2 by the official UFC rankings and is currently on a 9 fight winning streak. 

Edwards has impressive wins over fighters like Vicente Luque, Gunnar Nelson, and Rafael dos Anjos. In his most recent fight, he faced off against Nate Diaz, and won via Decision, his next fight has not been announced yet.
