There are several incredible Mixed Martial Arts fighters from Latin America, and before we move on to the list, I have to give out some honorable mentions.

Marlon Vera

Marlon Vera is a professional Mixed Martial Artist from Ecuador, and he competes at bantamweight. He is currently one of the top fighters at bantamweight and deserves an honorable mention. 

Kelvin Gastelum and Nick Diaz

Kelvin Gastelum and Nick Diaz are both fighters of Mexican Descent, and they also deserve honorable mention.

Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz is an American fighter of Mexican Descent, and he has competed at both lightweight and welterweight. 

Diaz is one of the biggest stars in the UFC and has had several impressive performances over his career. He has wins over Donald Cerone, Micheal Johnson, Conor McGregor, Anthony Pettis, and Tony Ferguson. 

Diaz has a record of 21 wins and 13 losses.

10. Anthony Pettis

Anthony Pettis is an American MMA fighter, with a Mexican heritage.

Pettis is the former UFC lightweight champion, and he fought for the interim title at featherweight as well. Pettis also had a lot of success at welterweight and has several impressive wins. Now, he competes in the PFL. 

Pettis has a record of 25 wins and 14 losses.

9. Yoel Romero

Yoel Romero is a Former Professional MMA fighter from Cuba. he committed at Middleweight. 

Romero won a Silver Medal in the Olympics, and as an MMA fighter, he defeated some of the best names in the UFC middleweight division, including Lyoto Machida, Ronaldo Souza, Chris Wideman, and Luke Rockhold. He challenged for the UFC middleweight title twice. But lost both times. 

He has a record of 14 wins and 6 losses.

8. Brian Ortega

Brian Ortega is an American fighter of Mexican Descent, and he competes at featherweight. 

Being a Jitsu Prodigy, Ortega Had a lot of success in the UFC. He has wins over fighters like Renato Moichano, Frankie Edgar, and the Korean Zombie. He challenged for the title twice, once against Holloway, and once against Volkonovski but lost both times

Ortega has a record of 15 wins and 3 losses.

7. Yair Rodriguez

Yair Rodriguez is a Mexican MMA fighter, who competes in the UFC featherweight division. 

Rodriguez Won The Ultimate Fighter Latin America Featherweight Tournament in 2014, and he has wins over fighters like B.J Penn, The Korean Zombie, Jeremy Stephens, and Brian Ortega. 

He is still active with a record of 14 wins and three losses.

6. Jorge Masvidal

Jorge Masvidal is an American Professional MMA fighter of Cuban and Peruvian Descent. 

Masvidal is easily the biggest MMA star on this list. He competes at welterweight where he has several impressive wins over some of the best in the division. He challenged for the UFC title twice, but could not win. 

Masvidal is still active and has a record of 35 wins and 16 losses.

5. Brandon Moreno

Brandon Moreno is a Mexican UFC fighter, and he became the first Mexican Born champion in the UFC. 

Moreno is the Former UFC flyweight champion and currently holds the Interim title at Flyweight. He won the title after defeating Deiveson Figueiredo and lost the title to him as well in a rematch. In his most recent fight, he defeated Kai Kara France to become champion. 

Moreno is still active and has a record of 20 wins, 6 losses, and 2 draws.

4. Dominick Cruz

Dominick Cruz is an American Fighter of Mexican Descent, and he competes in the bantamweight division of the UFC. 

Dominick Cruz is the former WEC and 2-time UFC bantamweight world champion. He is still considered by many as the greatest bantamweight of all time with his unique fighting style and he has several impressive wins over fighters like Demetrious Johnson, Takeya Mizugaki, T.J. Dillashaw, Urijah Faber, and Pedro Munhoz. 

Dominick Cruz is still active and has a record of 24 wins and 4 losses.

3. Tony Ferguson

Tone Ferguson is an American fighter, with Mexican heritage, and he competes at lightweight and welterweight. 

Ferguson won the Ultimate fighter tournament and then defeated some of the best fighters in the UFC lightweight division. He won the Interim UFC lightweight title but was later stripped when he was injured and could not fight for the undisputed title. 

Ferguson is still active and has a record of 26 wins and 8 losses.

2. Cain Velasquez

Cain Velasquez is also an American MMA fighter, of Mexican Descent, and he competed in the heavyweight division of the UFC. 

Velasquez is a former two-time UFC heavyweight champion. He defeated some of the best heavyweights of his time, including Brock Lesner, Junior Dos Santos, Ben Rothwell, Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira, and Travis Browne. 

He retired in 2016 but came back for one fight in 2019. He has been retired since then and has an MMA record of 14 wins and 3 losses.

1. Henry Cejudo

Henry Cejudo is an American fighter of Mexican Descent, and he leads our list. 

Cejudo is an Olympic gold medalist and won UFC titles in two weight classes. He became the UFC flyweight champion by defeating Demetrious Johnson and defeated big names like TJ Dillashaw, and Dominick Cruz as well. He is also one of the few UFC two-weight champions who have defended both their titles as well. 

Cejudo retired from MMA in 2020 with a record of 16 wins and 2 losses, however, he has been teasing a comeback recently.
