Smith who was drafted during the 6th round of the 2021 NFL Draft has anchored in the team’s offensive line while earning an All-Rookie selection after his strong play during his rookie season.

The Chiefs guard has tremendous size and power to help him in both pass blocking and run blocking schemes while helping the Chiefs win the Super Bowl last season.

Elgton Jenkins

Team: Green Bay Packers

Depending on who you ask and the film you watch, Elgton Jenkins of the Green Bay Packers could be a lot higher on the list of the best offensive guards in the NFL.

However, the crop around the game is as strong as ever while landing Jenkins just outside of the best offensive guard list.

Jenkins is another versatile guard who has the talent to not only play both the left guard and right guard positions but also fill in at the tackle positions when called upon. Over the course of the 2023 NFL season Jenkins allowed just three sacks over 960 offensive snaps played.

Top 10 NFL Offensive Guards

10. Brandon Scherff

Team: Jacksonville Jaguars

Coming in at number 10 on the Top 10 NFL Offensive Guards 2023 rankings list is the eight-year veteran Brandon Scherff who will be entering his second season with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Scherff who was signed by the team before the 2022 NFL Season didn’t disappoint while he showcased his ability to anchor and play offensive guard at a high level.

His play at the position helped transform the Jaguars offensive line into a strong unit while providing protection for Trevor Lawrence.

The Jaguars turned around their struggles while securing a playoff spot and producing the 10th most yards per game in the NFL last season.

9. Alijah Vera-Tucker

Team: New York Jets

One offensive guard to monitor entering the 2023 NFL Season is the New York Jets third year guard Alijah Vera-Tucker. Vera-Tucker who played his college football with the USC Trojans was a First-Team All-Pac 12 selection before being drafted by the Jets with the 14th overall pick during the 2021 NFL Draft.

Despite missing the end of the 2022 NFL season, it is hard not to like what the Jets young guard has done for the team on the offensive line while being as versatile as any lineman in the NFL. Prior to his torn triceps, Vera-Tucker ranked among the best guards in the NFL in pass blocking and run blocking.

8. Wyatt Teller

Team: Cleveland Browns

When you look at the line play of the Cleveland Browns it ranks among the best year in and year out while the team ranks among the best in overall run performance.

Nonetheless, don’t let that fool you as Mason graded out a 68.2 last season according to PFF while performing well both in pass blocking situations and run blocking schemes. Entering 2023, Mason should continue to excel while playing on a Texans line that is up and coming around the NFL.

4. Quenton Nelson

Team: Indianapolis Colts
